About

What if anxiety didn't take up so much space?

When clients first start therapy with me, they're struggling with anxiety and overwhelm. It's hard because there's no "rule book" for life with anxiety or trauma. Life is messy, painful, and unpredictable…a recipe for anxiety and worry. You don't have to be alone with about your mental health anymore. Like my clients, you deserve to have your needs met, feel less burned out, and to live a life that you actually enjoy. As a licensed clinical psychologist and specialist in anxiety, I’ve gotten really good at getting to the root. So often, people are managing with “bandaids" instead of digging deep into the emotional wound. Bandaids look like procrastination, comfort/overeating, drinking/smoking, overworking, not speaking up, not setting boundaries, and so many other unhealthy ways of coping. I’m not judging, I’ve been there before…overeating, feeling burned out, ignoring my body, and overworking. I wondered why I was so anxious, lost, and just plain tired of having my needs unmet. Instead of only managing symptoms, we’ll be digging deep and you'll be healing from within. This is how I help people see long-term results. I don’t see therapy as a bandaid, but rather, good therapy is like surgery. Anxiety is the wound. We’ll go in and “clean” the wound, find what’s wrong, stitch together what’s missing, and over time, your wound will truly heal.
